Privacy Policy

AML Financial Services Limited, trading as AML Business ("we", "our", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use our website or our website, AI, and business finance services.

We comply with the Privacy Act 2020, including its Information Privacy Principles.

Information you give us

When you fill in a form, email us, or call us, we may collect:

• Your name, business or organisation, email address, phone number, and location
• What you are interested in, and anything you write in your message

Information collected automatically

When you submit a form, we also record:

• Your IP address and the country it is located in
• Your browser and device type
• The page you submitted from, and the site that referred you
• Any campaign tags in the link you followed, such as utm, gclid, or fbclid tags

Our analytics tools also collect information about how you use the website. See section 6.

Information from clients

• Website clients: your business content and logos, and access to accounts you share with us, such as your domain or Google Business Profile
• AI clients: business information you share with us to set up and run AI tools
• Finance clients: financial statements, identity documents, credit information, and details of existing lending

Sometimes we collect information about you from other people or organisations. This includes:

• Credit reporting agencies and lenders
• Your accountant, lawyer, or other representatives
• People who refer you to us
• Public sources, such as the Companies Office and your existing online listings

When we do, we will tell you as required by Information Privacy Principle 3A, unless an exception applies.

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and arrange your Business Health Check
• Deliver our website, AI, and business finance services
• Give financial advice and help with lending applications
• Manage our client relationship, including invoicing
• Understand which marketing brings people to our website
• Improve our website and services
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We may share your information with:

• Our team and authorised representatives
• Lenders: bank and non-bank lenders, where you have asked us to help with finance
• Service providers who help us run our business:
  • Cloudflare, which hosts our website and stores form submissions
  • Our customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Google, for analytics
  • Our email providers
  • AI tool providers, when we deliver AI services to you
• The person who referred you, so we can update them on progress, with your consent
• Professional advisers, such as legal and compliance providers

We will only share your information where it is necessary, or where the law requires or allows it. We do not sell personal information.

Our website uses these analytics tools to understand how visitors use it:

• Google Analytics
• Google Tag Manager
• Cloudflare Web Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies. These tools tell us things like which pages are visited and how people found us. We do not use them to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Some of our service providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. These include our hosting, CRM, analytics, email, and AI tool providers.

Before sharing information with them, we take reasonable steps to make sure it will be protected in a way that, overall, is comparable to the protection the Privacy Act 2020 provides.

When we set up AI tools for your business, we use your information only to deliver the service you have asked for.

We agree data and privacy rules with you as part of set-up. Where a tool allows it, we configure it so your business data is not used to train the provider's AI models.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, or alteration.

We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Records related to financial advice are kept for 7 years and then securely destroyed.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To do this, contact us using the details below.

We will respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.

If you are located outside New Zealand, your information will be processed in New Zealand and by the service providers described above.
